Bonn International Graduate School BIGS

The Bonn International Graduate School in Physics and Astronomy BIGS coordinates the organisation of the Master and PhD studies.

Besides other measures, BIGS offers a few scholarships for students in the first year of their Master studies (during the second year the student gets financial support from the respective research group, in which he/she is doing the Master Thesis), as well as for PhD students during their qualification respectively probationary period.

In particular, BIGS attends to international students and their needs. Thatmeans recruitment, support of international students in all administrativeaspects, organisation of language courses etc..

German students in their Master- or PhD studies are also most welcome in BIGS. They can, for example, participate in BIGS events, like e.g. postersessions etc..
